lake george

I have a passion for sculpting in stone, wood and metal which has  lasted for more than thirty years.

I am showing some of my smaller stone sculptures at the Bungendore Woodworks Gallery opening this Saturday 15th March 2014 at 3PM. The show “Weereewa – Interpretations” involves 4 other artists working in different media and runs till 30th March. For the past 5 years I have been the resident sculptor at the Mirramu Creative Arts Centre, Lake Road, Bungendore.

From my work-bench I had a view of Lake George through the trees. It was thrilling to be working in a magnificent natural and peaceful setting. Such an inspiring landscape dominated by a vast expanse of cloud-filled skies disappearing over the horizon. This environment has affected my work; it is no accident that the some of my sculptures,  Sacred Lake, Cloudstone and The Lady of the Lake, take water as a theme.
